Scholarships & Tuition Assistance
The Chelsea Center for the Arts is pleased to be able to provide scholarships and tuition
assistance to music and visual arts students who take classes and lessons at the center.
Applicants must complete an application and, in doing so, must demonstrate financial
need and/or a passion for learning music or visual art. There are no age restrictions.
New this year: CCA is also offering special tuition assistance to high school junior and
senior students who are pursuing visual arts or music at the collegiate or professional
level. Because CCA understands the intensity of preparation for artists in gaining entry
into schools of choice or professional careers and the additional expense and mentoring
that are required in the form of art portfolio preparation, audition readiness, application
review and instrument supplementation lessons, we are offering tuition assistance to
students based on talent, achievement and pursuit of artistic achievement at the next
level.
Each year, a limited amount of financial assistance is available to apply towards classes
or lessons. For more information, please see the Scholarship FAQ (pdf) and the Instructions
for Applicants (pdf)

Scholarships / Tuition Assistance
We have two sources of scholarship funding:
- CCA Scholarship General Fund:
The Chelsea Center for the Arts Board of
Directors established this scholarship fund in 2008. Each year, the Board and
volunteers raise money for the scholarship program through special events such as
Autumn Jubilee and Jazz & Chocolates. The scholarship fund is also supported
by generous donations from our community.
Scholarships from this fund are awarded each term and are based primarily on a
combination of financial need and merit. Tuition assistance for junior and senior
high school students also is awarded from this fund.
The application process (see below) is available for both private music and visual art students.
- Moore Pediatrics Scholarship for Early Childhood Programming
Established in 2009, this scholarship fund provides assistance to children 5 and younger who are just
beginning their artistic exploration. Awards are based on financial need and are available
throughout the year.
Scholarship Process
Applicants must complete an application and, in doing so, must demonstrate financial
need and/or a passion for learning music or visual art. Please read the instructions and
FAQs before completing and submitting an application. Award recipients must complete
3 hours of volunteer time at CCA during each semester in which they are receiving
tuition assistance.
