VoiceBella Voce: Voice for Young SingersRobin Woodard8 Weeks: Days and times to be determined according to student availabilityBella Voce Jr.: open to ages 7 – 9 This program is specifically designed for younger singers! Build a great foundation, gain confidence, vocal strength, range and sing with your friends! Students will participate in semi-private and class voice lessons with an emphasis on healthy vocal development and performance techniques. Nurturing of the “beautiful voice” of Bella Voce is the main focus of these lessons. This is a wonderful and cost-effective way for young singers to begin their vocal training. Cost: $130 Please call for details and to be included on the list for this class. It will begin when we have at least 3 students for each level. StringsBeginning Strings for children!Using both Suzuki and traditional methods, Tara Vesprini introduces this exciting new string program for beginning string players. This opportunity is offered to true beginners from age four, and to those students with one to two years of string instruction at school. Lessons will be structured by age, and a combination of group and private lessons will be designed based on enrollment. Children will master beginning string technique through various styles, exercises, and a whole lot of fun! Parents will be responsible for obtaining an appropriately sized and working instrument. Parent attendance & participation is required at every lesson for students under 10 years old. Please contact CCA for cost, lesson options, scheduling, and any additional information. EnsembleJazz EnsembleAlex AnestAges 13 & up We will form a small combo, learn jazz tunes and study improvisation. All instruments welcome! SongwritingSongwriter’s WorkshopSaturday, November 15 Join us for the most exciting, memorable and entertaining songwriting event of the year! Learn the craft of songwriting from Detroit quartet the High Strung, hailed by Rolling Stone magazine, the New York Times, and Village Voice as one of the best rock & roll bands in America. The High Strung will be joined by Chelsea’s Artist-In-Residence M.L. Liebler who the Detroit Free Press called the “backbone of the new literary renaissance.” The day will culminate in a jam session in which the group will compose a song on the spot! |
