The Chelsea Center for the Arts is a 501(c)(3) organization run by a small staff with support and volunteers from our community. If you would like to get involved with the CCA, we'd love to have you. Call us at 734 433-2787 if you can lend a hand!

Volunteer Opportunities

Office Help

We are always looking for friendly and detail-oriented people to help answer phones and greet visitors. Familiarity with CCA programs is helpful but not required. The CCA can use your help. Volunteers are needed after school from 3–6 pm to sit at the front desk, greet families coming for lessons, and accept payments and registrations. Answering phones and taking messages could also be part of your duties. If you are friendly, organized, and are interested in helping the CCA on a regular basis, contact Aubrey Thornton Martinson at Aubrey@chelseacenterforthearts.org or 734.433.2787.

Building Maintenance

We need help with general building maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs and other light- to heavy-duty tasks.

Fundraising and Event Planning

The Chelsea Center for the Arts seeks volunteers for event planning and fund-raising initiatives. This is a great opportunity to help support the visual and musical arts with your expertise and learn new fund-raising techniques as you go!

Installation of Art Hanging System - We have received a generous donation of “Walker Hanging System” for displaying artwork. Thanks to work completed by our volunteers, we now have a great way to hang art from our students and resident artists.
