Exhibition: Stand In The Place Where You Live

Exhibition in celebration of The Legacy Land Conservancy's 40th Year in collaboration with the Chelsea Center for the Arts.

Dates: November 11 - February 29

Over the past 40 years, Legacy Land Conservancy (Ann Arbor) has helped protect over 4,500 acres of forests, prairies, farms, wetlands, and waters. To celebrate this achievement and inspire future conservation efforts, Chelsea Center for the Arts and Legacy Land Conservancy commisioned a small group of selected artists to create original works of art about specific local public and private lands preserved through the Conservancy. Exhibition runs November 11th through January 7th. Opening reception: Friday December 2nd 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Music Offerings

  • NEW Percussion Instructor! We'd like to welcome David Bendena to our Music Faculty! Please check our our faculty page for more information!
  • Parent/Child Music Lessons For parents and their children, ages 4-12. CCA is offering a new and exciting way for families to experience music lessons together. Parent & Child Music Lessons will help build trust, skills, and confidence and are the perfect way for parents and children to grow and learn from each other. With these lessons, parent and child grow together, developing a bond and a lifelong love of music through duets, games and shared music-making.
  • Chelsea Children's Choir - No auditions necessary! Be part of the newest voice in the Chelsea community! After a successful first year, the Chelsea Children's Choir returns this Fall 2011. Singers will continue to write their own songs as part of this diverse choral experience. Performances throughout the community will again be featured during the year.
  • 88 Fingers- 2 sessions of our popular beginner piano class. For kids ages 5-8, this group piano class teaches students "hands on" how to find their way around the keyboard while they play together and for each other.

Art Offerings

  • Afterschool Art Clubs- Back by popular demand our weekly art classes are held once a week on Thursdays at your child's respective schools. Classes start the week of January 23rd so sign up soon. Spots fill up fast!
  • Iddy Biddy Art Club- Alternating Fridays starting January 20th this class is popular with both preschoolers and parents alike. This class offers a charming combination of a favorite storybook as well as a tie-in craft.
